Portuguese Courses for Children in Zurich

Learn Portuguese for Children Aged 4 to 12

At Wordculture in the heart of Zurich, children between the ages of 4 and 12 learn Portuguese in mini-groups of up to 6 children. This ensures that every child receives the individual attention they need to discover the new language with confidence and joy.

Our native-speaking teachers bring not only the language but also the culture into the classroom, making learning Portuguese a playful and immersive experience.

Why should children learn Portuguese in Zurich?

Portuguese is the fifth most spoken language in the world. Numerous Portuguese and Brazilian-speaking families also live in Zurich, and economic ties to these regions are steadily growing. Starting early gives children an advantage that extends far beyond their school years.

Learning Portuguese opens up a vibrant world full of music, literature, and culture for children, from Lisbon to São Paulo. And for Portuguese-speaking families in the Zurich area, our course offers the opportunity to strengthen their heritage language.

During the summer holidays, we also offer a wide range of summer camps for children aged 4 to 15.

Student review

We speak Portuguese at home, but Mateus never properly learned to read and write in Portuguese. At Wordculture, he’s learning both. His pronunciation has improved greatly, and the teacher manages to bring the language to life, making Mateus look forward to the course every week. Our family is very happy about this.
