For children who need a first official English certificate, Wordculture offers targeted preparation for the Cambridge Young Learners exams for Starters, Movers, and Flyers levels upon request. These internationally recognized tests are aimed at children between 7 and 12 years old and make learning progress visible. You cannot fail this language exam, which is why every child receives a certificate at the end. For some children, this can be a motivating milestone on their language learning journey.

At what age can my child start learning English?
From age 4. We distinguish between 3 age groups: 4-6 years, 6-9 years and 9-12 years. This is the only way to ensure age-appropriate teaching.
We speak English at home; is a course still worth it?
Yes, especially children who speak English at home have a valuable head start, but a course strengthens their skills in writing, reading, and grammar. A structured language course gives the child the opportunity to consolidate the language and use it at a high level.
My child is already learning English at school; is an additional course worth it?
Yes, definitely. School lessons often only provide 2–3 lessons per week in large classes. At Wordculture, your child learns in a small group of maximum 6 children, speaks significantly more, and receives individual feedback in a relaxed atmosphere. This ideally complements school lessons.
Is the course also available online?
Yes. Although studies show that children learn better in in-person courses, all our courses are also available online.
When does the course take place?
All our children’s and adult courses can be booked flexibly from Monday to Saturday. The exact times are based on consultation and availability. Send us an inquiry and we will make your preferred date possible.
Do the children learn British or American English?
Our teachers come from various English-speaking countries. Children learn to understand different accents from the very beginning, just like in the real world.
