Why learn Russian at Wordculture?
Our Russian courses are aimed at professionals from the international business world, people of Russian, Ukrainian, Kazakh, or Belarusian origin who want to strengthen their heritage language, and all culture enthusiasts who enjoy an intellectually stimulating language with a fascinating writing system.
The Cyrillic alphabet, which makes Russian seem foreign at first glance, is learned faster than you might think. Many participants can already read it after a few hours, and from that moment on, the language opens up step by step.
We also offer Russian courses for children.

Student review
I have been learning Russian at Wordculture for a year. There are two of us in the course and we try to talk a lot. Speaking helps me the most. The teacher is a native speaker and her lessons are very lively. I really enjoy learning with her.

Frequently Asked Questions
Are hybrid Russian courses available?
Yes. On request, we also offer hybrid courses that combine in-person and online sessions. All our courses can be booked flexibly. Especially in a busy daily routine and with working from home, business travel and unpredictable appointments — this model ensures that your learning progress doesn’t stall. In the initial consultation, we’ll work out together which combination works best for you.
Is Russian harder to learn than other European languages?
Honestly, yes. Although the Cyrillic alphabet can be picked up quickly, the grammar system is a real challenge for many learners. That said, anyone who already speaks a Slavic language has a clear advantage. At Wordculture, we build Russian from the ground up in a structured way, so that you experience early success and that success keeps you motivated to keep learning.
I have Russian roots but don't speak very well; is a course worth it for me?
Yes, absolutely. If you grew up with Russian, you have an intuitive approach to the language. This is a great advantage because a feel for sound, rhythm, and typical expressions is in your blood. What is often missing is the grammatical structure and confidence in formal or written expression. This is exactly where Wordculture comes in. We meet you where you are and help you turn a passive heritage into active, confident language proficiency.
I have a busy schedule; how flexible are the courses?
Wordculture offers Russian courses as standard, intensive, evening, or private lessons, whether at the school, hybrid, or online. Our courses adapt to your daily life, not the other way around. Contact us so we can find a format that works for you together.
